Games For Practicing Phonics!

I just love the Lucky You! activities for practicing sight words.  CVC Words, Magic e, and R Controlled Vowels games for words containing targeted phonics skills available also. These activities are perfect for St. Patrick’s themed centers.  Assemble the activity by simply printing the cards single-sided to double-sided then cut along the dotted line.

Before you begin the game choose which cards and how many to use. Place the cards word-side down on the table. Your students will take turns picking a card and reading the words. If a player picks the “Lucky You!” card, he/she can choose two more cards. If a player picks the leprechaun card, well… all the cards must be put back.

The player with the most cards at the end of time wins the game!
